This week we received the 1/25 scale 2006 Mustang kits as well as the 1/12 1969 Camaros from Revell. You may review all of the important new kits now in our Coming Soon Gallery.

While in the Coming Soon Gallery be sure not to miss the new Private Production Sprint Car/Super Modified (2 in 1) kit. The 1953 Chevy has not been issued with the stock parts for at least 18 years, so we are very happy to see this reissue that includes both the stock parts and some great vintage custom parts. For the Lowrider fans, it also includes those versatile Daytons wheels, bling, bling. If you click over to the Revell Gallery, and then click on the '53 Chevy pictured, you can see an expanded view of the model built in the stock and custom versions. October 8, 2005: 2006 Mustang and 1/12 scale 69 Camaro

This week, our news is mostly from Revell as we have added about 7 Revell kits to the Coming Soon Gallery. Many of you have been anxious to hear a final 'Street Date' for both the 2006 Mustang GT and the 1969 1/12 scale Camaro. We are happy to report that we expect both of these in our warehouse by the beginning of November with a Revell 'Street Date' of November 9th. Pre-orders are encouraged now. We have tentative dates for the 1924 Big 'T' in 1/8 scale and the 1966 Penske Corvette Racer. Both of these kits are now scheduled in February of 2006.

Also this week, we have added pre-order information for 4 new Early Modified kits from Model King and Dirt Track Racing. You can view these now in either the Coming Soon Gallery or the Model King Gallery. Finally, we have a couple of new kits from in the AMT Gallery including the stock 1932 Ford Five Window Coupe and a 1969 Chevelle Resto Rod. Rounded out with a couple of new offerings in the Resin Roundup including a hot new 1964 Falcon which will work with the '64 Comet and a 1966 Buick Skylark, that's about it for this week. Thanks for stopping by!

October 1, 2005: Hummer H2, 1969 Mustang Mach I

This week we received the Civilian version of the Hummer the H2. This beautifully executed 1/25 glue kit from Revell molded in white has an opening rear hatch, detailed plush interior with huge stereo, and a removable roof rack. Including over 80 pieces, the kit does not have a detailed engine. For ordering information and more new kits from Revell, please visit the Revell Gallery.

From AMT we this week we have the new 1957 Corvette Flip Nose as well as the 1969 Mustang Mach I Fastback 'Resto Rod'. This new Resto Rod concept takes vintage kits and adds modernized accessories such as new engines, seats, tires, disc brakes, headers and rims. Accessories vary by model and stock parts are included. For ordering information and more new kits from AMT, please visit the AMT Gallery. Thanks for stopping by!

September 24, 2005: Twister Nova A/FX, Chuckwagon Showcar

Hi friends in the hobby. We have just received the Twister Altered Wheelbase Nova and the Chuckwagon Showcar. We are already working on your pre-orders and should have them all shipped this week. We still have soem unallocated kits on both of these, but we are getting very tight on the Chuckwagons as our pre-orders are taking most of the inventory. Please note that the Twister is the same kit as the Ratpacker. What makes this kit is the vintage box art. With the exception of the updated AMT logo, this version of the Twister utilizes the original box art from the 1967 release...a nice touch which is exciting to many of us. This Side panel should bring back some memories:

You also may want to note that the Chuckwagon is in the slightly larger 1/20 scale typical of many MPC Showcars. For more pictures and ordering information, please visit the AMT Gallery.

September 16, 2005: 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Seville Hardtop, Impala Police Car

Revell released the first reissue of their classic 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Seville Hardtop this week. You can almost hear Led Zepplin music in the background. If the Caddy is speeding, we have the brand new, 2005 Impala Police Car to write the tickets. Both of these kits are 1/25 scale. The Cadillac is a highly detialed kit with opening hood and engine while the Impala is a snap kit. Both are molded in white. For more pictures and ordering information, please visit the Revell Gallery. Speaking of fast cars, don't miss the Miami Vice Testarossa in the Revell Gallery or the 2005 Budweiser # 8 in the AMT Gallery.
MORE MODIFIED STOCKERS: You may want to click over to the Model King Gallery and see the newly announced Modified Stockers including the 1965 Chevelle and the 1965 Fairlane. The Chevelle needed some significant tooling repair which explains why it is a little higher. I think we all agree it is worth some repair expense to get these great models out of retirement. Pre-orders are welcome now with delivery expected in January. Remember, we do not bill your pre-orders until they ship. Finally, you Trike fans need to get your pre-orders in for the Carl Casper Shaker Trike. Unlike the Trick Trikes, this bad boy is a big 1/12 scale kit for the same price as the little 1/25 scale Trick Trikes. The Shaker Trikes are limited and AMT closed the ordering for these today, so it is time to get on our pre-order list. Ordering details for the Shaker Trike, Gridiron Grabber and Wild Willie Borsch are in the Coming Soon Gallery.

September 3, 2005: 1970 Pontiac Bonneville and Drag Boat

Hi friends, the private production MPC 1970 Bonneville Convertibles with the Aqua Drag Boats have arrived. We are beginning to work throught the pre-orders now and anticipate shipping all pre-order for this item next week. If your pre-order also contained the forthcoming Altered Wheelbase Twister Chevy II Nova, your order will be held another week to include the Twister which we expect any day now. You may review all of the Model King forthcoming kits including a new 1972 Chevy Blazer in the Model King Gallery. Before you go, check out this custom pickup version of the 1970 Bonneville. Parts and instructions to build this version are included with the kit.

More Chopper Trikes ??? It seems the product/market planners at AMT are taking notice of the success of all the great private production kits. In particular, the Retro Hobby Trikes have proved to be quite a popular reissue. So, for the January Buyer's Choice Limited Production Program, AMT has selected Carl Casper's Shaker Trike as one of the three offerings. Powered by a dual quad 327 Chevy engine, this Chopper in big 1/12 scale is sure to keep the Trike enthusiasm alive. The January Buyer's Choice will also include a reissue of the Wild Willie Borsch Winged Express Altered Rod and the Gridiron Grabber Show Car. Please check these out in our Coming Soon Gallery for more pictures and pre-order information.

August 30, 2005: 1956 Del Ray, '69 Vette and More Resin kits!

Arriving today are the Keeling and Clayton 1/16 California Charger, 1956 Chevy Del Ray Custom, and the 1969 Corvette 427 Custom. We inspected the Del Ray to see if Revell had left the stock parts in and they had not. The kit does include modern 20 inch diameter custom wheels with low profile tires. The car is powered by the Chevy small block V-8 and includes custom valve covers and air cleaner. Colorful decals, as you see in the picture, are included. Gotta admit, the one pictured on the box top has a lot of gotcha appeal! Ditto, the always popular 1969 Vette. See both of these new kits with the Keeling and Clayton 1/16 scale Top Fuel Dragster in the Revell Gallery.

Be sure to check out our new resin kits in the Resin Roundup. We have just added a 1959, 1960, and 1962 Olds as well as a 1961 and 1963 Mercury. Rounding out the new ones this week is the 1974 AMC Hornet Hatchback Coupe. While we try to recommend donor kits to supply chassis and other parts for the resin transkits, on some, we are still looking. Please share your success stories back with us, so we can offer suggestions to other modelers. Remember, the resin kits are more for the seasoned builders as they require some ingenuity and deep parts boxes. Thanks for stopping by!

August 27, 2005: Mad Max Interceptor and Trick Trikes

Hi folks, you may want to check out some new resin kits in out in our Resin Roundup . We have just added the wonderful Mad Max Intereceptor Model from Cavalier Productions as well as their 1978 Falcon SC Cobra. Unlike the resin 'Transkits', these kits are complete with everything you need (except glue and paint) to build a curbside 1/25 scale replica. We also will be listing some more new resin transkits this weekend including a 1962 Oldsmobile four door. You gotta see this one!

The MPC Trick Trikes arrived in our warehouse late Friday August 26th. We will begin shipping your pre-orders for these on Tuesday August 30th. We understand that we will have the Twister A/FX Nova and the 1970 Bonneville with Boat by the first week in September. Ditto the Keeling & Clayton 1/16 California Charger. You may review all of this information and more in our Coming Soon Gallery.

August 12, 2005: 1964 Comet Caliente and Duke's of Hazzard 1969 Charger

Wow, things are heating up now. The 1964 Comets (pictured above) arrived today along with the final edition of the 1935 Chevy Early Modified Sedan. Also, AMT released the new movie version of the Dukes of Hazzard 1969 Charger. The Comet is a straight reissue from the Craftsman Series, and was last released in 1968. The 1935 Chevy Sedan is the same kit previously reissued by the Model King as 21373 packaged in a new box. The Dukes car, as we understand it, is the same kit, basically a Charger 500, that has come out for years as the TV version. I believe the real car is acually an RT for you purists, but the 500 seems to work as a reasonable replica. We will post more news as we get it. For now, we are buried in pre-orders for '64 Comets and will begin shipping those today. We do have extras and welcome new orders now. For more pricing and ordering information, please visit the AMT Gallery. The MPC Trick Trikes should be here in two weeks. You can see these in the Coming Soon Gallery.

While you are in the Coming Soon Gallery, be sure to check out nine new kits which we have just posted including 6 kits from the new AMT Nostalgic Series: Mustang II Pro Stock, '57 Vette Flip Nose, Dodge Deora, Barris 'T' buggy, '69 Camaro Convertible, and 'Blackbird' Trans Am. Please note also, the new 2005 Impala Police Car from Revell, as well as the '87 Mustang and '32 Ford Five Window from AMT. Pre-orders on these new items are welcome now, and detailed information with pictures is in the Coming Soon Gallery. Thanks for stopping by!

July 20, 2005: Mustang GT 350R, Paddy Wagon, GTO Drift Car

We also have the new 2004 GTO Australian Drift Car from Polar lights. The Drift Cars are available in Yellow w/blue graphics, Yellow w/silver graphics, Purple, and Pearl White. If you give us your color choices in order, we will do our best to accommodate your preferences. Please note that with the exception of the graphics, these are not significantly different from the stock 2004 GTO's released earlier this year. Ordering information for the Revell kits is available now in the Revell Gallery . Similarly, the GTO Drift Car is now posted in the Polar Lights Gallery. Thanks for stopping by.

June 24, 2005: Corvette C6
The Sixth generation Corvette has arrived, and it's hard to believe, but the GM engineers have actually topped the previous Corvette. The C6 is definately more competition influenced than any previous Corvette with a top speed of 186 mph and 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds. The totally redesigned body is fresh and contemporary while hanging on the the styling cues that make it a Corvette. This fully detailed 1/25 scale glue kit from Revell features a highly detailed chassis and LS2 6.0 litre small block V-8 power plant. Both the hood and the roof panel are removable and factory stock decals are included. The kit is molded in white, clear and chrome with black vinyl tires. The taillights are translucent red.

June 11, 2005: 1964 Marauder, 1966 Nova, 1976 Nova, 1940 Woodie

Hi folks. Our focus this week is on a great AMT classic reissue; we start with the 1964 Mercury Marauder. Molded in neutral gray, this Marauder reissue includes all of the parts from the original 1964 kit, right down to real chassis screws and metal hood clips. That should bring back some memories! The kit has realistic Firestone Supreme tires and includes the parts to build your choice of stock, custom or race car versions. Please visit the AMT Gallery to see the Marauder as well as the new Dupont Monte Carlo and other recent AMT releases.

Nova Fans are in for a real treat this month with reissues of the 1966 and 1976 models. The AMT 1966 Nova is returning as part of the Boyd Custom Series. This coupled with the stock 1976 Nova which we have not seen for 25 years will make an irresistable combination. Finally, from AMT, be sure not to miss the 1940 Ford Woodie Custom. While this kit seems to use some of the parts from the old 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery, the kit appears to have a host of newly tooled parts. It's a beauty. See the Novas and the the new Woodie now in the Coming Soon Gallery.

While in the Coming Soon Gallery, be sure not to miss the new 2005 Corvette C-6 from Revell. The new Vette C6 Coupe 1/25 glue kit is expected by the first of July.

We are told that late August is possible and by September is certain. Be sure to get your pre-orders in now. Please review all of the Private Production kits in the new Model King Gallery. Thanks for stopping by!

June 4, 2005: 1991 Ford F-350, Miami Vice Daytona, 1977 Trans Am 'The Bandit', American LaFrance Fire Trucks
A couple of kits came in this week. Of particular interest is a reissue of the great Monogram 1991 Ford F-350 Duallie Pickup. This mainstay of pickup builders is molded in white in 1/24 scale. Also, released this week from Revell is a reissue of the Miami Vice Daytona Spyder, and by popular demand, we are now stocking the Revell diecast kit of the Bandit Trans Am from the Universal Studios movie, 'Smokey and the Bandit'. You may see all of these new kits now with ordering information in the Revell Gallery.

We are also pleased to announce an encore limited production run of the AMT American LaFrance Fire Trucks. These sold out fairly quickly last time, so we are glad to see them back. As before, we are offering a web site special for all three kit together of $129.00 plus shipping. Just order AMT LF-Set on the online order form. To see the LaFrance kits now, please go to Page 8 of the AMT Gallery . Thanks for stopping by!

May 27, 2005: Piranha and 1937 Chevy Modified
Hi folks, we hope everyone in the USA has a great Memorial Day Holiday Weekend! To start the long weekend off right, we just got the very cool Piranha rear engine racers in stock today. What a kit! I always loved building those big rear engine GT type cars. I fear we may run out of these before we wanted to. Most of what we have is already committed to pre-orders, but we still have about 150 unallocated for the early birds with new orders. This is a limited production kit in AMT's Buyer's Choice Program, so we usually are not able to get more. The AMT 1937 Chevy Modified reissue with the Tobias chassis is also available. We will begin shipping Piranha pre-orders on Tuesday after the Holiday. For more pictures and ordering information, please go to the AMT Gallery . Thanks for stopping by!

May 24, 2005: Wild Child Falcon and 1970 Monte Carlo Super Stocker
As expected the 1965 Wild Child A/FX Falcon dragsters arrived today. The surprise arrival was the 1970 Monte Carlo Super Stockers which we did not expect for a couple of weeks. Many of you have pre-orders waiting on these items. We will be shipping these orders this week. New orders are welcome, but we are running a little tight on the Wild Child Falcons. You may assume they are available until we mark them 'sold out' in the relevant areas of the web site. For more pictures and ordering information, please go to the AMT Gallery.

May 13, 2005: Dick Brannan Bronco Altered Wheelbase Mustang
Hi folks, the Bronco Mustangs arrived late today and we will begin processing your pre-orders next week. We still have unallocated product, so new orders for this kit are welcome. Some of you have asked if this is a reissue of the popular 'Street Freak' Altered Wheelbase Mustang Dragster. It is, in fact, the Street Freak with Dick Brannan decals. Thanks for stopping by!

May 7, 2005: Dick Landy Dart, 2005 Viper, 1992 Thunderbird

As expected, the new Dick Landy Dart from Revell sports the 440 Power Plant instead of a Hemi. However, we were surprised with the addition of some new Super Stock parts including Hooker Headers with collectors, deep sump oil pans, updated rear end and shocks and Cragar wheels. All of the stock parts are included with the kit except for two stock tires.

The reissued 1992 Thunderbird has three building options including stock, custom and lowrider. You may see all of these new kits now with ordering information in the Revell Gallery.

You can get more ordering information now in the the Polar Lights Gallery.

April 20, 2005: 1970 GTO Super Stocker,

The 1970 Pontiac GTO Super Stockers (MPC) arrived in our warehouse today. We expect the 1970 Monte Carlo Super Stockers in the next couple of weeks. We will begin shipping pre-orders this week based on your order preference ie. ship as available or hold until all are available. As many of you know, these kits have one of the finest round track racing set-ups ever implemented in plastic. This week we also received the updated 2005 Lowes Monte Carlo in 1/25 scale from AMT, and based on popular demand, we are now accepting pre-orders for the Keeling and Clayton California Charger AA/FD 1/16 scale Dragster. You can find ordering information for the new GTO and Lowe's Monte Carlo in the AMT Gallery, . Pre-ordering information for the California Charger and several more new announcements may be found in the Coming Soon Gallery. Thanks for stopping by!

April 2, 2005: 1969 Barracuda, 1965 Coronet Convertible, Goodwrench Lumina, 1980 Cadillac

This week we have 4 new kits. From Revell, we have the 1980 Cadillac Diecast, and 1990 Goodwrench Lumina. I reviewed the Revell Cadillac with master modeler Bob Downie. The nose of the Caddy is what lowrider fans call 'Euroed'. It has the appearance of an early to mid-80's car. The tail looks like a fairly stock 1980 Coupe deVille. Both the hood and the truck open. The kit does include a multipart detailed engine. We were convinced that with a little ingenuity, one could come up with a passable stock Cadillac. The main hurdle in going stock is in the wheels and the rocker panels. Stock Cadillac wheels can be borrowed from a Johan kit or promo and the rockers can be refinished. The pink and chrome lower rocker panels which you can see in the picture are actually seperate pieces riveted onto the body. They can be dremeled off and refinished...a somewhat advanced project, but doable. You can see these kits including an actual built Cadillac model in the Revell Gallery.

From AMT this week, we have the always popular 1969 Barracuda which appears to be a straight reissue from the MPC tooling. The Cuda has two sets of wheels and the hood scoop is optional. This bad boy is now featured in the AMT Gallery, and if you click on the pic, you can also get an idea of what the stock version looks like.

Finally, from Polar Lights, we have the beautiful 1965 Dodge Coronet Convertible. Visit the Polar Lights Gallery and you can see one already built by our friend Tom Carter. The Coronet Convertibles come in metallic red, turquoise and gold. They also feature both up-tops or boots, a nice touch. The Red and Turquoise version feature an off white up top and boot and the Gold version features a black up-top or boot. Please give us your first and second color choices and we will do our best to accomidate you. That about covers it for this week. Thanks for stopping by!

March 18, 2005: 1965 Mustang A/FX, 1969 Revell Daytona Charger, 1965 Ford Galaxy, 1970 GTO Super Stocker and More!

Hi folks, we have added about 16-20 new model kits to the web site. For those of you who want a sneak peek, please check out the Revell Gallery, the AMT Gallery, the Coming Soon Gallery, and our all new Model King Gallery. For your convenience, we now have a page dedicated to nothing but the very limited and private production Model King reissues of retro vintage AMT and MPC classics. We already have some feedback that many of you are finding this page useful.

Of particular interest, are the new Model King kits coming in May. Two of the famous MPC Superstockers which have not been seen since the early 70's are coming. Both the 1970 GTO Superstocker as well as the 1970 Monte Carlo Superstocker will be in our warehouse in May. While the kits stand on there own as vintage jewels, many modelers will be after the great racing chassis that comes with this kit. We have ordered a bunch, but pre-orders are recommended to avoid disappointment. Also, coming from the Model King in May, we have Dick Brannan's Bronco A/FX (Altered Wheelbase) 1965 Mustang. This will be the first issue of the Dick Brannan Mustang, but uses the tooling from the Street Freak Mustang which many of you remember. Rounding out the Model King May releases is the Wild Child Falcon A/FX. Some of you have seen the press coverage the real Wild Child has been getting lately.
While in the Model King Gallery, be sure not to miss the 1964 Comet, and the 1959 Imperial (hardtop or convertible). We are looking for your pre-orders on these, so we can plan our order quantity as the kits approach their release date. Finally, we are very excited about the 1974 Chevelle, 'Saturday Night Thunder' kit. Last released as a generic limited edition Nascar kit about 10 years ago, we are told this MPC reissue will include both the Laguna and Chevelle front ends from the old MPC tooling. The kit is meant to represent all the great Saturday Night Short Track Races which are an institution across the USA.

We have also added to our Galleries significant new kits from AMT which will be arriving in the next few months. These include kits like the 1969 Barracuda, the 1976 Nova, the 1977 Mustang II and more. Be sure to see all of these in the Coming Soon Gallery,.

Finally, we have added a preview of what Revell is delivering in the next couple of months including Dick Landy's 1968 Dodge Dart GTS. A few surprises are coming from Revell, so be sure to check out the forthcoming Revell kits when you visit the Coming Soon Gallery. Thanks for popping by!

Hi folks, a few new kits arrived this week. The much anticipated Bantam Blast is here! Pre-orders containing this kit will ship next week. While the pre-orders pretty much wiped out our original allotment, we are pleased to announce that we do have ample supply to cover all of your pre-orders. We were able to acquire a few more from a Distrbutor and can accomidate new orders. If we sell out early, we will mark the kit as 'sold out' in the AMT Gallery on the web site. You will be safe with new orders on this kit until that marker appears. in the AMT Gallery..UPDATE ON BANTAM BLAST MARCH 19, 2005: As noted on the web site we sold out of the first production run on these. He had some extras that we were able to get from other Distributors, but these are also sold out. The good news is that we will be getting more in June as AMT has announced an encore production run. Since these will be direct from AMT, the price is back to the old pre-order price of $10.50 each. We suggest you pre-order what you need now.

AMT also released the beautiful stock 1969 Buick Riviera. This is one of my personal favorites as it was in the first 5 kits I ever built back in the late 60's. What a statement and highlight of classic GM styling! Finally, from AMT we have the first batch of some new customs. Borrowing styling cues from Boyd Coddington and Rides Magazine, AMT has spruced up some old favorites with 'gotcha effect' custom wheels. The first batch includes the 1949 Mercury, the 1962 Vette, and the 1957 Chevy. Check out the slick box art on these new kits now in the AMT Gallery.. Speaking of box art, check out the new Riviera box. Do you think that AMT may be getting it that box art matters to many of us? The new boxes are a vast improvement over what we have seen recently from their retiring Box Art Specialist, 'Bozo the Clown'.

From Polar Lights this week we have the ragtop version of the 1964 GTO in 1/25 scale. The color choices are Metallic Red, Yellow and Black. Please specify your first and second choices and we will try to accomidate. Ordering information is available now in the Polar Lights Gallery

To close things out this week, we have more tasty box art for you! If you click on the Coming Soon Gallery, you will find the proposed box art for the forthcoming 1964 Comet Caliente and the 1959 Imperial. While we do not have pricing on the Imperial yet, we think this one may be close to $20.00 as tooling repair was required. Keeping with this theme, the Model King found a real 1959 Imperial in a junkyard near his home. The theme on the box is 'Overhaulin' the '59 Imperial, with the guy at the junkyard ordering the front loader to stop before he drops the '59 Imperial in the crusher. Thank goodness for the Model King and his efforts to save and restore this vintage tooling! Thanks for stopping by.

January 14, 2005: New Release Updates: '63 Tempest Altered Wheelbase, 1972 GTO
Hi Folks, many of you remember Arnie Beswick's 1963 Pontiac Altered Wheelbase Tempest called 'The Farmer'. Now, from our friend the Model King in conjunction with AMT, we have the Funnier Farmer which comes from the exact same tooling. Those of you who subscribe to our mailing list will also remember when we posed the question, was it worth it to fix the tooling on this grand Old AMT Dragster? You responded with an overwhelming YES. Well our dreams have come true and the Altered Wheelbase Tempests are in our warehouse and ready to ship. We will be working through our pre-orders over the next week and we do welcome new orders now. You can check out a picture of a Tempest that was beautifully built by modeler Frank Ramos by visiting the AMT Gallery now. While you are there, you may want to note that the MPC/AMT 1972 GTO kit has also arrived in our warehouse and is shipping. Thanks for stopping by!

January 5, 2005: New Release Updates: '63 Boss Nova Wagon, Two Much Dragster, '63 Tempest F/X
Happy New Year! To start the New Year off with a bang, we just got word today that the Altered Wheelbase Tempests, 1963 Boss Nova Wagons, and the 'Two Much' twin-engine dragsters should be in our warehouse by the end of this month. The Georgia Shaker F/X Falcon will be arriving in February. If you have not already pre-ordered these very limited private production kits, you may want to now. We plan to combine pre-orders for these specific kits to conserve your shipping costs, so if you have all of these on pre-order, we will hold the order until the Georgia Shaker arrives unless we hear differently from you. The AMT 1972 GTO is expected in the next week.

We also have information on the April, 2005 Buyer's Choice Program from AMT. As expected, the highly demanded Piranha kit will be reissued along with two more Modified Racers including the 1937 Chevy Coupe, and the 1936 Plymouth. Both of the Modifieds are from the old AMT tooling and have the Tobias chassis. You can check these and other significant kits arriving soon in the Coming Soon Gallery.
