1968 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible - Broken Windshield Cowl - Replacement from Modelhaus Included.

This is the annual first issue from 1968, and what a beauty it is from AMT's collectable 1968 Annual Series. This kit is molded in white and all the parts are pristine and crisp looking. Parts that have shaken loose from the trees have been carefully resealed for protection. The box is in very good condition with slight price tag and tape residue. The chrome is bright and resealed. The only flaw we can find is a broken windshield cowl which is all too common for AMT annual convertible kits from this era. Fortunately, Don Holthaus from Modelhaus Resin has recast most of the AMT cowls in resin, so these valuable kits can be built to perfection. Cowl replacement is a surgical operation and is only recommended for advanced builders with experience in cutting and channeling bodies. We have included a picture of the body and the replacement cowl in the picture rotation. This kit has been discounted to about half the price of a mint perfect one. Some extra reference material from the original owner is included.
