1956 Chevy 210 2 door Del Ray Sedan California Wheels Series (1/25)
The Chevrolet models from 1955, 1956 and 1957, are grouped together as
the "Tri-Fives". While all three are considered to be among the most
influential autos of all time, the '56 would frequently receive less
attention than the models that preceded and followed it. Finally, the
"middle model" '56 is gaining the respect that eluded it for years. The
210 Del Ray coupe was a mid-line entry with added trim inside and out
over the base model, but at a lower cost than the BelAir, and it was
popular with the public putting over 56,000 copies out the showroom
door.
Part of the mid-priced Two-Ten series, the Chevy Del Ray came
factory-equipped with interior refinements found on higher-end models
like the Bel Air. For a base price of $1,971, drivers could enjoy
upgrades such as padded vinyl seats, a lighted glove compartment, two
door armrests and carpeted floorboards.
