1952 Tim Flock Hudson Hornet Stock Car "Newspaper Edition" (1 of 1000) (1/25) (fs) The first Limited Edition of Tim Flock's 1952 Hudson Racer sold out in a hurry. In fact, we got more orders than we had model kits. Only 3000 were produced of that first issue. Now, we get one more chance to own the Tim Flock model with this even more limited "Newspaper Edition" of the Tim Flock 1952 Hudson stock car. Moebius founder, Frank Winspur, has a special love for this period of racing as his father drove stock cars in this era. With Model King's cooperation and permission, Frank did one special run of 1000 pieces with the special Newspaper box art. There are several differences and racing enhancements in the racing version kit versus the stock version kit. Though in the origins of Nascar, Stock car meant "stock" car, Moebius made provisions for some racing parts including side exit exhaust and open steel wheels. The version you see here, looking like it’s ready to go kick up some sand on Daytona Beach, replicates Tim Flock’s #91 1952 Grand National championship-winning machine. It’s representative of the marque’s dominance in stock-car racing in the first half of the 1950s.
