Ford Motor Company celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1953 and its Crestline convertible was a key part of its lineup for that model year. It “set the new standard of the American Road!” according to Ford’s advertising. AMT is proud to release this exciting model kit that captures every detail of the cars body, interior and chassis. It features and opening hood and Firestone tires. A full color decal sheet and assembly instructions round out the kit.
Beautifully packaged with upgraded tires and decals, the new AMT moniker may finally get some respect for this wonderful kit featuring modern era tooling from Lindberg. Those of us that love Fords remember how long the gap existed from the 1949-51 body Style to the 1955-56 body style. Let's all pretend we are 12 again, it is 1966 and we just saw this show up on our favorite model shop's shelf. Remember the buzz that new kits from AMT would create? Let's give AMT a couple of thumbs up for this wonderful box art that this car and kit have always deserved!
