The 340 horsepower engine of this car was sure to blow their hair back, after all the first generation Corvettes only came in convertible models. Kit features , a separate chassis, a chrome-plated windshield frame, custom soft black tires/wheels and factory decals. As the final year of the first generation, the 1962 Corvette was noteworthy in many ways. It was the last year of the solid rear axle, last with a wrap-around windshield, and last with a true rear trunk lid. The first generation Corvette also featured exposed headlamps, which would not be seen again until the 6th generation. But, under the hood, it was the first year for the bigger 327 c.i. small block engine which was used for many years.
