When Erik Jones unveiled the first 2023 Camaro to sport the iconic Petty STP livery to Richard Petty at an STP Production event, the King said,
"Looking good!". Petty went on to say, “It’s like a copy of one of my older model cars. One thing about this scheme is Erik won’t be able hide from me on the track because I’ll be able to see that car from anywhere" Petty gave his seal of approval to the iconic look of the car he and STP made legendary.
