The third-generation Mustang was produced by Ford from 1979 until 1993. Built on Ford’s Fox platform, it is commonly referred to as the Fox body Mustang. It evolved through several sub-models, trim levels, and drivetrain combinations during its production life.
Rekindling some of the excitement of its 1964 forefather, the new aerodynamics made the street machine perfect for the racing look giving the impression that it was a high speed road racer. Molded in color with clear and plated chrome parts, modelers will be pleased with the features.
Manufactured in 1981, this kit is still in the original factory sealed box which shows normal shelf wear. Decals in these vintage kits tend to dry out and great care would have to be exercised with some kind of decal setting solution to use the decals included in the box.
