American International Motorsports Scott Kalitta Top Fuel Dragster (1/25) (fs)


Scott Kalitta, the son of legendary drag racer and crew chief Connie Kalitta, was a two time NHRA Top Fuel Champion and winner of 17 NHRA Top Fuel National Events and 1 NHRA Funny Car National event.  On June 21, 2008, Scott was fatally injured during the final round of qualifying for the Lucas Oil NHRA Super Nationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. Kalitta's funny car was traveling at about 300 mph when the engine exploded into flames near the finish line.
